Winnipeg Police have issued a public advisory about a suspicious van that has been seen near schools in the Elmwood and Rossmere areas of the city.

On Thursday June 22, 2017  a dark blue early 2000’s Ford E350 Econoline van with blacked out windows was seen near a school in the 100 block of Poplar Avenue. The male driver tried to talk to a teenaged female and drove away after being unsuccessful. He is described as a white male, being 50 to 60 years old, slim build, short white hair and wearing a plaid shirt.

A little while later the same van was seen near a school in the 900 block of Henderson Highway. After he was confronted the driver left.

The vehicle was again seen near a school in the 600 block of Brazier Street.

Members of the Winnipeg Police Child Abuse Unit are investigating and are asking for information that may help them with this case. You can contact them at 204-986-3296 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
