Manitoba Integrated High Risk Sex Offender Unit has issued a warning about the release of a high-risk sex offender on Monday, March 15, 2021.
43-year-old Winston George Thomas was released from Headingley Correctional Centre after serving a sentence for assaulting a peace officer.
Thomas has a history of sexual and violent offences as well as multiple breaches of probation orders and recognizances. He is still considered high risk to re-offend in a sexual and/or sexually violent manner against both adult females and female children.
Thomas is expected to live in Winnipeg upon his release.
