Police use Naloxone to save a male not breathing during a drug overdose

Around 11:00 am on Thursday, July 22, 2021, officers were called to an area along the Harte Trail in Charleswood to check on the wellbeing of a male.

When they arrived in the area they heard someone calling for help within a wooded area. As officer walked into the woods they found a male performing CPR on another male who was not breathing and was in medical distress.

Several doses of Naloxone were administered by officers and the man soon began breathing. Paramedics arrived but needed help from police to get the victim out of the woods to a waiting ambulance. The victim was taken to hospital in unstable condition but later upgraded to stable.
