Police were searching in Roseau River Anishinabe First Nation on Tuesday, October 13, 2020, in connection to remains that were found two months earlier.
Manitoba First Nations Police Service (MFNPS) had responded to a wooded area just outside the community on August 11 after the discovery of the remains.
Police said at the time that the identity of the victim was not known.
RCMP say that they will be providing more information about the investigation on Wednesday.
MFNPS, RCMP and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner are investigating.
