Police seize meth and a submachine gun

A 30-year-old Neepawa man is in custody after police were called to the area of Woseley Avenue and Maryland Street for reports of a male driving with a gun on Sunday night, September 2, 2018.

Police located the vehicle matching the description in the 300 block of Honeyman Avenue. Officers located the suspect in a restaurant near Maryland and Portage Avenue and placed him under arrest.

Police say that a large hunting knife was found on the man along with methamphetamine worth more than $2,250 on the street.

Police also found an MP 40 submachine gun, a loaded MP 40 magazine along with additional ammunition. A .22 calibre revolver was also located and seized.

Brent Travis Lehocky, 30, from Neepawa, Mb, was charged for his alleged involvement with 12 firearms-related offences and possession of Methamphetamine.
