RCMP seize drugs, weapons in Portage la Prairie motel
RCMP in Portage la Prairie have busted two drug dealers and taken drugs and weapons off the streets.
It happened on Friday, January 20, 2017 when investigators and the RCMP Emergency Response Team executed a warrant under the Controlled Drug and Substances Act at a motel in this prairie city 86 km west of Winnipeg.
The take down netted the police crack cocaine, cocaine, amphetamine, prescription pills, cash and a handgun that was reported stolen in 2013.
Lisa Hallson, 30, and Code Ouellette, 31, both from Winnipeg, have been arrested and are charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking x3, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Firearm and Possession of a Prohibited Firearm with Ammunition for their alleged involvement.
No one was hurt during the arrest and seizure.
