On Sunday, October 31, 2021, the RCMP received a report that a shot had been fired in the community of Bagot, Manitoba at 1:09 am. Bagot is about 25 kilometres west of Portage la Prairie.
According to police when officers arrived they learned a male had fired a handgun after leaving a social gathering. No injuries were reported.
Police arrested the 34-year-old male suspect. Officers searched his residence and located 24 rifles, shotguns and a number of handguns along with ammunition and prohibited magazines.
RCMP say the suspect faces a number of firearms-related charges.
He was released and will appear in court at a future date.
