Police seek third suspect in Dakota Community Centre shooting

Winnipeg Police has released more information about an assault at the Dakota Community Centre early Friday morning, July 30, 2021.

Officers were called the the centre for the report of a shooting around 1;30 am. A 19-year-old male had been shot and was taken to hospital by others who were in the area. The victim is currently in stable condition.

Officers arrested two male youths who have been charged Aggravated Assault. One of the youth also faces charges of Possess Weapon x2 and Carry Concealed Weapon.

A third adult suspect is wanted by police. An arrest warrant has been issued for 18-year-old Carlin Dare in relation to the incident.

Dare is 6’1″ in height and weighs about 220 pounds. Police say Dare should not be approached as he is considered armed and dangerous.
