Police respond to three separate stabbings on Thursday

Winnipeg Police responded three separate stabbings on Thursday, November 26, 2020.

At 2:21 pm officers responded to the 400 block of Sherbrook Street for a male who had been stabbed. The 27-year-old male victim was taken to hospital in critical condition but is now in stable condition.

Just before 7:00 pm officers went to an apartment in the 300 block of Assiniboine Avenue where a 27-year-old female had been stabbed.

She was taken to hospital in unstable condition but was soon upgraded to stable.

At 11:10 pm police were called to a hotel in the 600 block of Main Street after a 49-year-old male had been stabbed. The male was taken to hospital in unstable condition and later upgraded to stable.

Police say that a female suspect was taken into custody at the scene.

Cindy Jean Anderson, 46 from Winnipeg has been charged for her alleged involvement with Assault with a weapon.

Members of the Major Crimes Unit continue to investigate the Sherbrook Street and Assiniboine Avenue incidents. Anyone with information is asked to call investigators at (204) 986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at (204) 786-8477.
