Winnipeg police responded in force late Friday night, July 8, 2022, to the 400 block of William Avenue after receiving the report of a shooting.

General Patrol officers, along with members of the tactical support team descended on the area within minutes of the call.

A police spokesperson said that officers were investigating the report of a drive-by shooting but were unable to find any evidence to substantiate the report.
