Investigators have charged three youth in connection to the killing of a 28-year-old man at the Millennium Library on Sunday, December 11, 2022.

Winnipeg police has identified the victim as Tyree Cayer of Winnipeg.

Police have learned that three male teens got into an argument with the victim which escalated to a physical assault by the accused. During the assault one of the suspects stabbed the victim resulting in a serious injury. He was taken to hospital but died shortly afterwards.

The three teens fled the scene before officers arrived.

The suspects were quickly identified and taken into custody.

A 15-year-old male and a 16-year-old male have been charged for their alleged involvement with Manslaughter. A 14-year-ol male was charged with Second Degree Murder for his alleged involvement.

All three accused remain in police custody.

Police anticipate that as the investigation continues more arrests will be made.
