As News 4 told you earlier this week a Winnipeg Police Service officer was arrested in West Kildonan for impaired driving. The officer refused to take a breathalyzer test.
On Friday December 1, 2017 the WPS released the name of the officer and the charges he is facing for his alleged involvement.

Michael Richard Hawley, 49 from Winnipeg has been charged with Care and Control of a Motor Vehicle and Refuse Breathalyzer. Hawley is also facing firearm-related charges for unsafe storage of a firearm and unsafe storage of a magazine.
Hawley was placed on administrative leave earlier this week.
Police also released the names of two other officers who were arrested and charged with impaired driving earlier this year.
Jason Garrett, a 28-year member of the Service, arrested by the RCMP in February 2017.
Andrew Tighe, a 23-year member of the Service, arrested by the WPS in June 2017.
Another officer has not been identified because charges have not been formally laid. That officer was arrested by RCMP on November 20, 2017, in Headingley.
Since 2005 12 officers have been charged with impaired driving, four of those in 2017 alone with a fifth waiting for charges.
