The Guns and Gangs Unit with help from the Tactical Support Team executed several search warrants on a home on Parkdale Drive and another residence on Waterfront Drive.
Police say several people were taken into custody and two were charged with drug and weapon offences after police seized 4,362 pieces of crack cocaine worth more that $109,000 on the street. Officers also found a small amount of cocaine, $6,600 in cash and drug packaging materials. The search also uncovered an operational stun gun.
39-year-old Agatino Junior Ballabono and a 39-year-old unnamed female have been charged for their alleged involvement with Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine and Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000. Both accused also face weapons charges.
Ballabono was detained in custody but the female suspect was released on an Undertaking as mandated by the criminal code, said police.
