Winnipeg Police have arrested a male and two females after they raided a home in the River Heights area of Winnipeg on Monday, March 12, 2018.
Police say they executed a warrant and seized more than 2,000 blotters that they suspect contain fentanyl or carfentanil that are worth about $41,000 on the street. They also seized 48 grams of methamphetamine worth $7,200 along with mobile phones, a digital scale and packaging materials.
The three accused, a 26-year-old male, a 24-year-old female and a 29-year-old female are facing a number of trafficking charges.
All three were released on a promise to appear in court.
Police also issued a warning to the public that if they should come across any type of blotter or suspicious paper that they believe to contain a drug to not ingest or handle it but to contact them.
Blotting paper often is used to deliver liquid forms of drugs as the paper is highly absorbent.
