Winnipeg Police have arrested a male and a female adult after a raid on a North River Heights home.
On Thursday the WPS Marihuana Grow Operation Unit and officers from the Tactical Support Team and Street Crime Unit executed warrants under the Controlled Drug and Substances Act.
Once inside the home police found 221 cannabis plants in various stages of growth worth about $248, 000. They also seized 1/2 lb of marihuana packaged and grow operation equipment.
Facing charges for producing and trafficking cannabis are a 41-year-old male and a 35-year-old female. Both have been released on a promise to appear in court.
