POLICE NEED HELP TO IDENTIFY VICTIM IN POSSIBLE HIT AND RUN

Winnipeg Police are asking for help from the public after they found a woman in her mid 20’s in the intersection of Main Street and Polson Avenue.

It happened around 1:40 am on Friday, July 14, 2017. When emergency crews arrived on the scene the woman was unresponsive and suffering injuries. She was taken to the hospital and remains in critical but stable condition.

Police are unsure exactly what transpired but indications are the woman was involved in a collision with a vehicle.

Investigators have been unable to identify the victim.

She is described as Indigenous in appearance, approximately 25-years-of-age. 5’2” in height, slim build, with wavy brown coloured hair in a bun. In addition, the victim has ‘Marcus’ tattooed in script on her left inner forearm.
