Police need help to identify two suspects in Alfred Avenue murder

Winnipeg police homicide detectives are asking the public for help in identifying two suspects in connect to the murder of Mohammed Yonis Ali.

Ali was killed near his home in the 800 block of Alfred Avenue on August 26, 2020.

Investigators have released surveillance video that shows two suspects walking along a back lane. As one of the suspects steps out of view gunshots can be heard.

 Suspect #1
– A male, 5’11” to 6’1” in height
– Average build
– Wearing silver-framed glasses
– Wearing a light coloured jacket, hood up over a dark baseball cap
– Dark footwear with white soles
 
  Suspect #2
– A male, 5’6” to 5’8” in height
– Obese build
– Wearing a dark hoodie with what appears to be a white North Face logo
– Dark pants and dark footwear

Any information regarding the suspects whereabouts before or after the shooting could be valuable to investigators. Anyone with information is asked to call (204) 986-6508 or Crime Stoppers at (204) 786-8477.
