Police asking for help with Christmas Day homicide investigation

Winnipeg Police Homicide investigators are asking for help in locating a vehicle of interest in connection to the Christmas Day killing of 37-year-old Gordon Edward Pashe.

Pashe was found on a sidewalk at Salter Street and Redwood Avenue by officers patrolling the area around 10:20 am.

Police determined the victim had been assaulted and he was taken to hospital where he died soon afterwards.

Police say they believe that Pashe had been assaulted in the 300 block of Redwood Avenue.

Investigators have identified a red Chevrolet Sonic as a vehicle of interest. They say the Sonic was seen in the area in the days leading up to, during and after the homicide.

Anyone with information about the vehicle or the occupants who could have been in it are asked to contact members of the Homicide Unit at 204-986-6508 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477)
