Winnipeg Police have arrested and charged a 26-year-old male in connection to the city’s fifth homicide of 2020.
On Tuesday, February 11, 2020 police were called to a home on Middle Gate for the report of a stabbing.
When officers arrived they found the body of 34-year-old Michael Bruyere.
Police say the victim and the accused were known to each other and had got into a dispute early Tuesday morning at which point the victim was stabbed.
The suspect, Jordan James Bonwick, was taken into custody outside a convenience store on McPhillips Street.
Bonwick has been charged with Second Degree Murder for his alleged involvement and detained in custody.
