Winnipeg Police have made two more arrests in connection with the December 30, 2023, homicide of 20-year-old Brooklyn Elijah Hiebert. Hiebert’s body was discovered outside a residence on the 200 block of Flora Avenue. Investigators determined he had been fatally assaulted on the 200 block of Selkirk Avenue and then moved to the location where he was found.
As previously reported, 36-year-old Christopher Kyle Wattman was arrested and charged with First Degree Murder in July 2024. The investigation has now led to the arrests of two additional suspects.
On October 15, 2024, 26-year-old Victoria Lee Andrews of Winnipeg was arrested and charged with First Degree Murder. She remains in custody.
The latest arrest occurred on February 19, 2025, when 37-year-old Hazel Flett of Winnipeg was also charged with First Degree Murder. She has also been detained in custody.
Police believe that Hiebert and all three accused individuals were known to each other. The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
