Police looking for suspect after he attacked woman on city bus

Winnipeg Police are looking for a man in his 20s or 30s after he assaulted a woman on a Winnipeg Transit bus on Saturday, November 4, 2017.

Police say the assault happened around 7:30 pm in the area of Portage and Balmoral Street after an argument had happened between two people on the bus. The 28-year-old victim, Aisha Walker, claimed she was arguing with an intoxicated male who was being sexually aggressive towards another woman on the bus. As the argument continued a third male approached the pair and became confrontational.

The suspect punched the victim in the face causing serious injuries. He then got off the bus in front of the University of Winnipeg and ran off.

Police say the suspect is described as late 20 to early 30s. dark hair with a goatee, approximately 6’0″ tall with a skinny build wearing a brown or orange toque, green parka, blue jeans and work boots.
