RCMP in Portage la Prairie is looking for a male who tried to rob a 61-year-old woman in the parking lot of a Saskatchewan Avenue financial institution.
Police say the victim was walking to her vehicle when a man approached and demanded money. After the victim refused his demands he raised his hands and pointed at the woman as if he was pointing a gun.
Although no weapon was seen the suspect continued to demand money from the victim.
According to investigators the male eventually walked away without any cash.
The suspect is described as about 5’8″ tall with a large build. He was wearing a dark coloured winter coat with a hood.
