Police looking for help identifying robbery suspect

Winnipeg Police are looking for help locating a woman who attacked and robbed a 73-year-old St. Boniface woman.

Police say that around 4:45 on Monday, May 20, 2019 the victim was in the backyard of her home when she was approached by the suspect who convinced the victim to let her into the home.

As the female suspect followed the elderly woman into her home she attacked her with a weapon and then stole the victim’s purse and took off in the victim’s vehicle.

The victim was taken to hospital in stable condition and was treated for upper-body injuries.

The suspect is described as Caucasian female, 30 to 40 years old, 5’’2″” tall, weighing about 100 lbs with a slim build. She has blonde medium-length hair that was tied up. She was wearing a grey tank top, dark-coloured jeans with rips in the knees and was carrying a black shoulder bag.

Police say that the stolen vehicle is a 2005 Dodge Caravan with Manitoba plate # AVU951
