One man taken to hospital
Winnipeg Police are handing over the investigation of a police involved shooting on Monday May 1, 2017 to the Independent Investigation Unit of Manitoba (IIU).
The shooting happened in the Skywalk near Police HQ in downtown Winnipeg over the noon hour.
Winnipeg Police Chief Danny Smyth confirmed that the shooting occurred and an officer was involved.
One man was taken to hospital in unstable condition shortly after the shooting that happened near Graham and Garry.
