Police Involved in Serious Accident on McPhillips Overnight –

Winnipeg Police were involved in an incident that ended in a crash in the early hours of Monday. The accident occurred on McPhillips and  blocked the southbound lanes of McPhillips Street at Redwood Avenue.

Because of police involvement the Independent Investigations Unit of Manitoba (IIU) has been called to investigate.

The IIU is mandated to investigate all serious incidents involving police officers in Manitoba, whether occurring on or off duty.
