Police-involved collision sends three to hospital

Winnipeg Police Service Traffic Division was on scene Friday night investigating a collision between a motorcycle and a marked Winnipeg police patrol unit.

According to investigators the collision occurred on Redwood Avenue at Powers Street around 7:30 pm on Friday June 4, 2021.

The driver of the motorcycle and two officers in the police unit were transported to hospital. Both officers were treated and released.

The Independent Investigation Unit of Manitoba has taken over responsibility for the investigation.

Redwood Avenue was closed into the early morning hours of Saturday between Salter Street and Andrews Street.
