Winnipeg Police investigators are looking into two carjackings that happened within 45 minutes of each other.
Around 6:15 am on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, an adult male was parked in the 400 block of Hartford Avenue when an unknown male confronted him with a weapon. The suspect stole the vehicle and left the area. The victim was not injured.
About 45 minutes later an adult female was parked in the 1400 block of Fife Street. She was pulled from the car by a male suspect. Two other males then got into the victim’s vehicle and pointed a weapon at her. The three suspect then fled the area in the victim’s vehicle. The victim suffered minor injuries according to police.
Investigators do not know if the two incidents are connected.
