Manitoba First Nation Police Service is investigating the death of a female in Sandy Bay First Nation on Saturday, April 29, 2023.
According to investigators, officers responded to a call about a female laying on the ground near Little Ridge Road South who was unresponsive. When they arrived they found that the female was deceased.
First Nations Police are investigating with assistance from the RCMP Forensic Identification Unit and the Manitoba Medical Examiners officer. The cause of death is unknown and an autopsy has been ordered.
