Shots fired at St. Norbert home, say police

UPDATED

Winnipeg Police Service spent most of the afternoon and into the evening Saturday, April 25, 2020, investigating an incident in the first 100 block of Villeneuve Boulevard in St. Norbert.

Neighbourhood residents tell News 4 that multiple police cruisers arrived in the south Winnipeg neighbourhood Saturday afternoon. Although police appeared to be focusing their attention on one home, the boulevard and sidewalk directly across the street from the home was surrounded in police tape.

In an email, to News 4 Winnipeg Police say that officers were called to the home around 12:25 pm for a report of damaged to the residence.

As police were investigating the incident they discovered evidence that shots had been fired at the home.

Officers were seen going door to door talking to residents in the area.

Police say that the investigation is ongoing and that no arrests have been made at this time.
