Winnipeg Police Service is investigating the death of a man found in a suite in the 300 block of Manitoba Avenue on Saturday afternoon, March 16, 2024.
According to police, officers responded to the report of a man in distress around 2:45 p.m. When police located the male he was unresponsive and officers provided immediate medical care while waiting for paramedics to arrive. The man was taken to hospital in critical condition but did not survive his injuries and was pronounced dead.
Police have identified the victims as 35-year-old Robert Clayton Smith.
Members of the WPS Homicide Unit are continuing to investigate.
