Winnipeg Police responded to Pembina Highway between Markham Road and Thatcher Drive around 10:00 am Saturday morning, October 19, 2019.

Police haven’t released any details about the incident but a number of units were still on scene late Saturday afternoon. A large area on the old Southwood Golf Course is marked with yellow police tape.
Police seem to be focusing their efforts in the wooded area. A white sheet could be seen covering what appears to be a body.

Winnipeg Police Public Information Officer Jay Murray told News 4 in an email that “for privacy reasons, we have no additional information we can provide at this time.”
