Officers had taped off the Louis Bako River Landing pathway that runs through a wooded area along the Red River while they waited for the Forensics Unit and investigators to process the scene.

In an email to News 4, Winnipeg Police Service Public Information Officer Claude Chancy confirmed that officers remained on the scene as of noon Sunday but said “We have no additional information to provide at this time.”

On Sunday officers were seen searching the banks of the Red River along Waterfront Drive and combing the wooded areas along the walkways. Members of the Winnipeg Police Service Dive Unit were seen in the water along the shore of the river.

More information when it becomes available.
