Woman in her fifties killed in home

Winnipeg Police have been on scene in the 400 block of Camden Place since Monday April 10, 2017 investigating a homicide.

Police received a 911 emergency call just after 3:00 am Monday. When they arrived they found a woman in her fifties suffering from serious upper body injuries. She was pronounced dead on scene.  The victim has been identified as Judy Kenny.

Another Camden Place resident, a 44 year old female was arrested arrested a short time later. It is not clear what the relationship was between the victim and the suspect or the motive for the homicide.

Brenda Lee Schuff has been charged with second degree murder for her alleged involvement in the death.

Police say that they are not looking for any other suspects and there is no danger to people in the area.

Police say the investigation is continuing .

Schuff remains in custody.
