At approximately 2:20 a.m., On Sunday, May 12, 2024, members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a distress call regarding an injured male.
Upon arrival, officers found the male lying on the ground. They immediately provided emergency medical care, applying a chest seal and administering compressions in an attempt to save the man’s life.
The male was swiftly transported to the hospital in critical condition. Despite the best efforts of the medical team, he was later pronounced deceased.
The deceased has been identified as a 46-year-old male. Family notifications are currently pending, and the police are providing support during this difficult time.
The Homicide Unit has since taken over the investigation. They are urging anyone with information related to the incident, including video surveillance, to come forward. Investigators can be contacted at 204-986-6508.
