Winnipeg police are investigating the 46th homicide of 2022 after a 23-year-old woman was shot and killed early Saturday morning, November 12, 2022.
It happened around 5:20 am in the 400 block of William Avenue. Officers were called to the scene and found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to her upper body. Police immediately provided emergency medical care until paramedics arrived. The victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition but did not survive her injuries.
Police have identified the victim as Delany Nora Desmarais.
