Winnipeg Police Service is investigating a shooting near the intersection of Young Street and Balmoral Street around 3:45 this afternoon, June 14, 2021.
Police say that nearby Balmoral Hall was placed on lockdown for about 45 minutes after the shooting but no staff or students were injured.
The shooting victim was taken to hospital in unknown condition.
Police say no other information about the victim including their age or gender is available at this time.
