Winnipeg Police Service Homicide Unit investigators are looking into the death of a 61-year-old male during a fire in the 1900 block of William Avenue on January 20, 2022.
Firefighters had located the victim along with a dog who had died in a single-family bungalow. Police say the fire appears suspicious and the death is being investigated as a homicide.
Police have identified the victim as Brian Robert Scibak of Winnipeg.
