UPDATED
Winnipeg Police are investigating a shooting that occurred on Monday afternoon, November 16, 2020, on Isabel street at Elgin Avenue.
Officers swarmed the area closing Isabel to traffic in both directions.
Six nearby schools were put on lockdown for about an hour as police investigated.
Witnesses say that just before 2:00 pm a shot was heard near the intersection
Paramedics transported one male to the hospital in critical condition but he died shortly afterwards.
Investigators have identified the victim as 18-year-old Wade Darryl Donkey.
Police remained on scene for several hours as members of the forensic unit gathered evidence as part of the investigation.
