RCMP in Thompson say they were called to the Burntwood River near the Miles Hart Bridge on Wednesday morning, July 29, 2020, for the report of a possible drowning.
According to investigators a group of people were swimming in the river when a 30-year-old male began struggling. Several bystanders pulled him out of the river.

Emergency crews attempted to revive the male but he was pronounced dead at the hospital shortly after being transported there.
RCMP contine to investigate.
