Police are investigating the assaults of a man and woman in their 20s near Keewatin Street and Logan Avenue on Tuesday night, September 20, 2022.

When police arrived they found the male victim suffering from several stab wounds along with the effects of having been bear sprayed. Officers administered emergency first aid, including the use of three tourniquets. He was taken to hospital in unstable condition but later upgraded to stable.

Officers also found a female who had been assaulted but her injuries were minor and she did not require medical help.

Police say that the two victims were walking together in the area of McKelvey Street and Logan Avenue when they were confronted by a group of people and assaulted.
