Winnipeg Police were called to an incident near Cumberland Avenue and Spence Street Wednesday afternoon.
Around 3:00 pm a man was shot. He was taken to hospital in stable condition.
A few blocks away, around the same time, near Cumberland Avenue and Edmonton Street another man was assaulted and apparently stabbed. He was also transported to hospital in stable condition.
Police are investigating both incidents and have said they do not believe the two are related.
