Winnipeg Police Service is investigating a serious two-vehicle collision that happened on Higgins Avenue late Saturday afternoon, January 27, 2024.

Emergency crews, including two ambulances, two medical supervisors, a fire department district chief, two fire engines and multiple police units, were called to the scene between Gomez Street and Curtis Street around 4:30 pm
Both vehicles suffered significant damage.

Police shut down the eastbound lane for several hours while crews worked at the scene. Shortly before 7:00 pm the eastbound lane was reopened but drivers had to navigate around the collision scene.
It is not known the extent of any injures at this time.
