Winnipeg police are investigating a shooting on January 1, 2024, in a downtown lounge in the 200 block of St. Mary Avenue.
Police say that a female bystander in her 20s suffered a gunshot injury after a weapon was fired inside the business. She was given emergency medical care by officers and taken to hospital in stable condition. No other injuries were reported.
Investigators do not believe the victim was the intended target.
No arrests have been made.
The investigation continues.
