Winnipeg Police Service is investigating several assaults that occurred on Saturday, June 17, 2023
Around 5:45 am, Police were called to the 300 block of Wiliam Avenue for the report of a stabbing. Officers learned that the victim had been robbed of his bike, stabbed and assaulted. Paramedics transported the victim to hospital in stable condition.
At 9:25 pm officers responded to Redwood Avenue near Arlington Street after a delivery driver was stabbed. Officers found the victim with injuries and provided emergency first aid. The suspects fled befor police arrived. No arrests have been made at this time.
About an hour later police responded to an assault of a teenage male on Fort Street near Graham Avenue. Bystanders and officers provided emergency first aid until paramedics arrived. The victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Police say that the teen had intervened in a fight between individuals he did not know and was seriously assaulted. No arrests have been made.
Officers also responded to the Stadacona Street and Tweed Avenue area after a victim was approach by armed suspects and assaulted. Police provided emergency first aid to the victm. The suspects fled before officers arrived on the scene.
