Winnipeg Police Service Major Crimes Unit are investigating a shooting that happened late Tuesday night, July 7, 2020.
Officers were called to the area of Maryland Street and Wellington Avenue around 11:30. When they arrived they found a 48-year-old male suffering from a severe gunshot wound.

The man was taken to hospital in critical condition but according to police his condition has been upgraded to stable.
Maryland Street was closed for several hours as investigators worked the scene.
