A 23-year-old man is recovering after being stabbed multiple times at a commercial business on Maryland Avenue late Friday evening.
The Winnipeg Police Service responded to a call at approximately 8:30 p.m. on March 7, 2025, in the 700 block of Maryland Avenue. Upon arrival, Central District General Patrol officers discovered the victim suffering from numerous stab wounds.
Officers immediately administered emergency medical care, including applying multiple chest seals and a tourniquet to control the bleeding. The victim was then transported to hospital in unstable condition.
Following emergency surgery, the victim’s condition was upgraded to stable.
The Winnipeg Police Service’s Major Crimes Unit has taken over the investigation. Detectives are currently working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident and identify any potential suspects.
Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the stabbing or has any information related to the incident to come forward.
