Police investigate incident in Princess Street construction area

Winnipeg Police Service responded to an incident in the 100 block of Princess Street just north of McDermot Avenue on Tuesday afternoon, October 11, 2022.

Police cordoned off an area around this portable toilet on Tuesday afternoon, October 11, 2022, on Princess Street (News 4)

Police cordoned off the area with police tape. Officers seemed to be focused on a portable toilet that had been set up in the closed construction area of the street.

A short time after investigators arrived on the scene an unmarked white van pulled up next to the port-a-potty.

Winnipeg Police said in an email that a person was found deceased and that the incident was medical in nature. Investigators do not consider the death criminal at this time.
