Winnipeg police are investigating an incident that happened at the Hilton Hotel on Wellington Avenue on Wednesday, April 26, 2023.
Police responded to the hotel shortly before 5:00 pm after two people were found inside the hotel suffering from serious wounds.
Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service was called to assess the injured people. Both of the injured people were taken to the hospital in unstable condition but have since been upgraded to stable according to police.
Officers cordoned off the parking lot behind the hotel. Officers used unused food containers to cover two pieces of evidence on a sidewalk in the parking lot. A small car was also seen in the lot with its hazard lights flashing and a large blue tarp covering the back end of the vehicle.
Inside the hotel officers guarded a first-floor hallway while they waited for investigators.
