On the evening of January 16, a motor vehicle collision resulted in the death of a 42-year-old man. The incident occurred at approximately 7:15 p.m. at the intersection of McGillivray Boulevard and Perimeter Highway.
Winnipeg Police Service responded to the collision involving a passenger vehicle and a semi-truck. Despite the efforts of the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service, the lone occupant of the passenger vehicle, a 42-year-old male, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the semi-truck, a 27-year-old male, remained on the scene and cooperated with the officers during their investigation. At this time, no charges have been laid, and the Traffic Division has taken over the case.
