Police Investigate Bomb Threats Across Canada

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) issued a national precautionary statement in response to a series of threatening emails sent from an unknown source to various institutions, including synagogues across Canada.

In Winnipeg, the local police service received multiple reports from Jewish organizations that had either received similar emails or expressed concerns about the situation. Officers promptly attended these locations and determined that there was no public risk.

The nature of the threats was consistent with those reported nationwide. The investigation is ongoing, with coordinated efforts between the Hate Crimes Coordinator and the RCMP.

Authorities urge anyone with information or concerns to contact the Hate Crimes Coordinator at 204-986-6219 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS or winnipegcrimestoppers.org.
